Environmental Site Assessments

EarthCon personnel have successfully completed more than 1,000 Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in accordance with 40 CFR Part 312, Standards and Practices for All Appropriate Inquiries (AAI), as defined by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Standard Practice, E-1527-05, “Standard Practice for Phase I Environmental Site Assessments: Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Process”. Our personnel can modify the Phase I ESA to include asbestos sampling, cultural resource surveys, wetland determination / delineation, drinking water testing, lead-based paint testing, geological / subsurface investigations including soil borings and groundwater monitoring well installation, and laboratory analysis of soil and groundwater samples for suspected contaminants. The Phase I ESA may also be modified to include National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA) and State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO) assessments, environmental impact statements, indoor air quality (IAQ) including fungi/mold sampling and evaluation, and radon testing. EarthCon typically provides Phase I ESAs for the following:

  • Commercial Lending and Banking Institutions;
  • Cell Tower Placement for Construction Companies;
  • Industrial Facilities;
  • Petroleum Production including Pipeline and Refining Facilities;
  • Residential and Commercial Development Firms;
  • Right-of-Way (ROW) Acquisitions for Transportation Projects; and
  • Transportation Related Facilities including Railroad and Trucking Concerns.
