Underground and Aboveground Storage Tank Closure and Compliance

The professional staff at EarthCon is well versed in the regulations governing aboveground storage tank (AST) and underground storage tank (UST) operations and management including the MDEQ UST Branch’s Mississippi Groundwater Protection Trust Fund (MGPTF). In the past EarthCon personnel have performed more than 500 soil and groundwater assessments related to petroleum releases at AST and UST sites. EarthCon also provides oversight for UST closures including UST removal and closure-in-place. EarthCon personnel also prepare, review, update and implement SPCC Plans and facility response plan (FRP) for our fuel storage clients. A summary of the services related to ASTs and USTs includes:

  • Free Product Recovery, including Passive Skimmer Systems and Vacuum Recovery;
  • Groundwater Monitoring Well Installation, including Vadose Zone Monitoring Wells;

  • UST Closure Oversight, including Removal and Closure-in-Place.
